CSU group confirms for the August 25 cleanup
There is a highway cleanup project for Ram Serve, consisting of 20 CSU students, and supervised by Friends of the Poudre.

It starts at 10:00 AM and goes until 2:00 PM.  The Lower Poudre Canyon Association's community building is the meeting and staging place. The address is 10234 Poudre Canyon, 10 miles from Ted's Place. Turn in at the Smokey Bear sign by the new fire station.

Instead of our usual stretch of highway we'll do both directions from Poudre Park.

Bring a lunch.

The Cache la Poudre River Cleanup 2011

August 27, 2011 It was really a success! The weather was perfect and except for learning we need to tweak timing and locations in the future, all involved were very pleased. Attached are two group photos, one of the AB employees and the other of the students from Colorado State University. A third photo shows a team of students working on the Canyon.

By way of a report, the cleanup was held in Poudre River Canyon from Colorado State Highway 14, mile marker 100 to 119 on Saturday, August 27, 2011. Fifty-eight volunteers from Friends of the Poudre, Colorado State University students, and employees of Anheuser Busch attended and approximately 600 pounds of trash were collected. The CSU students and AB employees nearly unanimously felt the cleanup was a great success and already are discussing next year! The groups reconvened at a local popular campus restaurant, Avogadros Number, where lunch was provided to all and a chance to celebrate the cleanup. Friends of the Poudre sent a press announcement to the local media the week prior to the cleanup.
